Mooring Angle Study of a Horizontal Rotor Wave Energy Converter

چکیده

The horizontal rotor wave energy converter is a newly designed converter. While the mooring system plays vital role in keeping device floating stably, selection of angle has immediate effects on device’s stability and generation efficiency. Given properties along coast Shandong Province, this study combines statistics gathered from field measurements certain area Bohai Sea with hydrological data obtained test same sea adopts Stokes’ fifth-order theory to theoretically design simulate for new type power generating device. With help AQWA software, dynamics at various angles are construct models carry out regular experiments according most appropriate show validity selected angles. consistency results between experiment simulation confirms that under working conditions waves, as increases, roll decreases first then pitch barely varies, yaw increases. adoption method experimental provide theoretical practical bases choosing engineering prototype obtaining reliable supply power.
